An ultimatum to Take-Two, two more Lucia videos, a leak “roadmap” and an FBI arrest that is not theirs. What is true, and why the numbers do not add up.

Quick answer Since 10 October, Cyberleek has been threatening to release a playable build of GTA 6, "full story mode", if its crypto coin reaches a $30 million market cap. Take-Two is offered one way out: physical discs and a public apology. To push the price it has posted two more videos, showing Lucia nude. It is not working: the coin peaked at $7.6 million and on 12 October sat at around $2.7 million. Nobody has shown it has the complete game, and Rockstar still has said nothing.

Two days after resurfacing with 25 minutes of footage, whoever signs as Cyberleek has raised the stakes. The promise is no longer clips: it is the game. And once again it is tied to people buying a cryptocurrency.

The threat, as written

The message appeared on its website on 10 October and is quoted by Rock Paper Shotgun, which does not link to it: "Here's the deal, nice and clean. Cyberleek hits 30 million marketcap, the build goes out — full story mode, played to the end, credits and all." And on the publisher: "Take-Two gets one way out: physical disks and a public apology. They can take it at any moment. Or they can gamble that CL is bluffing."

It is the same demand as in August, the one about physical media, which we cover in the timeline of the case. What is new is the price tag.

Three days, three moves

The "roadmap": one video per step

"Every milestone hit means a new GTA 6 leek the next day," the text says. As reported by HobbyConsolas, the steps start at $5 million and rise in $4 million increments to $25 million, each with a promised video: a mini tank, a tank, a shootout with police, a massacre on the beach, fighter jets and a train collision. Dexerto adds a jumbo jet and a private dance to the list. At the top of the ladder, the whole game.

It is a catalogue designed to grab attention and nothing else: none of those videos exists for the public yet, and whether they ever do depends on someone paying.

The numbers do not add up

On 12 October it was more than $20 million short, GamesRadar sums up, and HobbyConsolas notes a 62.9% drop in 24-hour trading volume according to CoinMarketCap. Kotaku calls it what it is: another attempt at a crypto rug pull, like August's, when the account made off with roughly $250,000.

Worth being clear about Buying that coin does not buy GTA 6 or speed anything up: it funds someone who already vanished with the money once. As Rock Paper Shotgun points out, if the real goal were a disc release, there would be no need to ask the public for money.

Does it really have the full game?

Nobody knows. There are signs pointing both ways:

Rock Paper Shotgun does not rule out a bluff, and adds a practical point: even if the file existed, hardly anyone would have the know-how or the means to run it.

On the nudity: it still proves nothing

The two new videos repeat what the one on the 8th did, now with Lucia. They also repeat the clue that this is not the normal game: pedestrians do not react and whoever is playing has a dev menu. Eurogamer warns it could be "a debug feature". Insider Gaming adds that people who saw the game live with Rockstar suggest it is not a thing in that form, and GTA BOOM recalls that IGN's Rachel Weber has only described a shower scene the camera kept modest, neither confirming nor debunking the rest.

The only gameplay detail of note in the video from the 11th, according to Eurogamer, is an ATM with a $15,000 limit and the logo of an in-game brand, Buckme, plus the parachuting mini-game already glimpsed in the Extended Look.

The FBI arrest is not Cyberleek's

These days you may have read that "the FBI has arrested a suspect in the GTA 6 leaks". The arrest is real, but it belongs to a different case. On 9 October FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrest of "another suspected co-conspirator" of ShinyHunters, the group blamed for stealing Rockstar's business data in April. According to CNN, he is a Canadian citizen and cybersecurity executive, and the investigation concerns the breach of the FBI's own jobs portal. Screen Rant is clear: there is no confirmation he took part in the attack on Rockstar.

ShinyHunters has nothing to do with Cyberleek's videos, and no arrest has been announced in that case. To keep them apart, there are three separate fronts: the 9 November trial over the 2022 leak, the arrests of alleged ShinyHunters members, and the hunt for Cyberleek, which remains open.

Rockstar stays silent

Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has responded to the threat or the videos. Neither demand has been met and no identification has been announced. Their last word on the case is still August's, when they asked people to wait for 19 November.

If you want to avoid spoilers

Eurogamer warns that the latest video is being shared natively on X, with no links to steer around. Muting "GTA 6", "GTA VI", "Cyberleek", "Lucia" and "leak", and turning off autoplay, is more useful now than a week ago. It is on our preparation checklist (in Spanish).

How we cover this case We do not link to or host the leaked material, we do not say where it is, we give no details for buying the cryptocurrency and we describe none of the story. The image at the top of this article is official Rockstar artwork. What we report comes from outlets we cite by name.
