GTA 6 characters: Lucia, Jason and the full confirmed cast

The series' first protagonist couple and every supporting character Rockstar has officially introduced.

Grand Theft Auto VI debuts the first protagonist couple in the series: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Their relationship — somewhere between romance and criminal partnership — is the narrative core of the game. Here is everything confirmed about them and the supporting cast Rockstar has been introducing.

Lucia Caminos, the first female protagonist

Lucia is the first female lead of a 3D-era GTA. The game opens with her leaving prison in Leonida, serving time for a crime official material hasn't detailed yet. She is ambitious, pragmatic and the strategist of the pair. Rockstar describes her as someone who "learned the hard way that in Leonida you can only count on yourself".

Jason Duval, the partner

Jason is an army veteran turned driver and fixer for the shady businesses of the Keys. His official introduction describes him looking for a quiet life until he meets Lucia. He is the muscle and the wheelman of the couple, with a past in local smuggling that will open many of the game's storylines.

A modern Bonnie and Clyde story

Rockstar has confirmed the relationship between the two is the center of the story: heists as a couple, trust, potential betrayal and a run across the whole state. It is the first time the series builds its narrative on a romantic relationship, and gameplay will allow switching between both characters, as in GTA V.

The confirmed supporting cast

Rockstar has officially introduced several supporting characters: Cal Hampton, a conspiracy-minded friend of Jason; Boobie Ike, a Vice City local legend in the music business; Dre'Quan Priest, a producer who wants to turn his label into an empire; the Real Dimez, a music duo with a social media past; Raul Bautista, a veteran bank robber who recruits the couple; and Brian Heder, an old-school smuggler from the Keys.

Who is the protagonist of GTA 6?

Lucia Caminos, the first female protagonist of the modern era of the series. She shares the lead with Jason Duval, and the player can switch between both.

Can you play as both characters?

Yes. Rockstar has confirmed you can switch between Lucia and Jason, similar to the three-protagonist system of GTA V.

Who are the villains in GTA 6?

Rockstar has not confirmed a main antagonist. The introduced cast includes ambiguous Leonida crime figures like Raul Bautista or Brian Heder, but the central villain remains unannounced.
