Exclusive vehicles, the Vice City Style pack, weapon variants and more. We analyze all the special edition content.
Price and format
| Edition | Price | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | €79.99 / $79.99 | Digital or code in a box |
| Ultimate | €99.99 / $99.99 | Digital only |
Mind the format detail: there is no Ultimate at retail. And the standard edition sold in stores has no disc either, just a box with a code.
What it includes, per Rockstar
Rockstar calls it "an exclusive collection of items threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story". This is the list from its official site, grouped:
- Vehicles: '95 Grotti Cheetah, '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, Shitzu Squalo, Ganado Retro Build, the Classic Car Collection and vehicles for Jason's safehouse.
- Weapons: the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers and personalized weapon variants.
- Clothing and style: Vice City Style, the Stock 305 clothing store and Goodtime Gear.
- Businesses and shops: Rideout Customs mod shop, One-Eyed Willie's mod shop, Sara's Unisex Salon, the Electric Fang tattoo parlor and the PTT Youngin$ illegal goods store.
Rockstar has not explained what each item does in the game. The names are from its official page; we add no details it has not given.
What it does not include
- Pre-order bonuses are not Ultimate content. The Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+ come with any edition pre-ordered before 20 November.
- No early access. Every edition unlocks at the same time.
- No campaign lock. No mission or map area requires the Ultimate.
Is it worth it?
It depends how much you will play. For $20 more you get a long list of items, and the interesting part is that many are businesses and shops, not just clothing — suggesting a role in the campaign, though Rockstar has not detailed it.
If GTA VI is your game of the year and you plan to wring it dry, the difference is justified. If you want the story and little else, the standard edition has the full game. And if a box matters to you, the Ultimate does not have one.
What is the difference between the GTA 6 Standard and Ultimate editions?
Standard costs $79.99 and includes the full game. Ultimate costs $99.99, is digital only, and adds exclusive vehicles, weapons, clothing, stores and mod shops.
Can you buy the Ultimate Edition at retail?
No. Per Rockstar's site, the Ultimate is digital only. Retail carries only the standard edition, as a code in a box.
Does the Vintage Vice City Pack come with the Ultimate?
It is not exclusive to it: it is a bonus for pre-ordering any edition before 20 November, along with a free month of GTA+.
