Sony revealed two limited-edition DualSense pads inspired by Vice City. Confirmed price, exact pre-order date and where to buy them.

Updated · 15 September They sold out in hours. Pre-orders opened on 10 September and PlayStation Direct buckled, with queues of over an hour and checkout errors. In the US, Best Buy and Target ran out within hours; in the UK stock lasted about two. PlayStation Direct capped orders at one per customer, but eBay listings appeared at $150-180, double the official price. If you missed out, skip the resellers: Sony often restocks limited editions before launch.
Confirmed by Sony Two limited-edition DualSense pads. $84.99 each. Pre-orders open 10 September at 10:00 local time, and they ship on 19 November alongside the game.

Sony showed them at State of Play and they are exactly what you would expect from a Rockstar collaboration: no logos slapped onto a standard pad. Both models — black and white — use a finish that shifts colour with the angle of the light, blue through violet, mimicking a Vice City sunset gradient.

The two models

DualSense GTA VI Black Limited Edition

The black one captures Vice City at night. Black body with palm-tree texture moulded into the plastic itself — not printed — a blue-violet gradient across the central band, and flamingo-pink action buttons. On the touchpad, the VI logo with palms etched a shade lighter than the background.

DualSense GTA VI White Limited Edition

The white one is daybreak: pale sands, pastel skies and the same iridescent finish across the central sections. Same palm texture, same official branding.

Watch the availability They are not sold the same way. The white will be at direct.playstation.com and participating retailers. The black is exclusive to direct.playstation.com where that store operates, and reaches only select retailers elsewhere.

One genuinely technical note

Sony used the announcement to note that GTA VI uses the DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. That is not exclusive to these editions — any DualSense does it — but it confirms Rockstar has worked on those features, which was not obvious: Red Dead Redemption 2 predates this controller and GTA V never used it.
